Burkhart Vineyards is currently a small vineyard located in Western Iowa's Loess Hills.

At Burkhart Vineyards, we combine the sun and the unique soil of the Loess Hills to produce the best possible quality grapes.

The primary grape grown in the vineyard is the Cold Hardy Brianna grape.  The Brianna grape is a white wine grape developed by Elmer Swenson.  It is very vigorous and winter hardy.  It is rated to at least -20 degrees F.  The Brianna grape ripens in mid September and produces wine that will have a pineapple nose and flavor.
